Data Protection Statement (as at 24 May 2018)

Basic information

This Data Protection Statement is intended to inform users of this website of the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the website operator, CEDIC + POS GmbH & Co. KG, Wannenäckerstr. 69, 74078 Heilbronn i. L., Germany.

The website operator takes your privacy very seriously and treats your personal data as confidential in accordance with legal requirements. As changes may be made to this Data Protection Statement because of new technologies and the constant development of this website, we recommend that you reread the Data Protection Statement on a regular basis.

Definitions of the terms used (e.g. “personal data” or “processing”) can be found in Article 4 GDPR.

SSL encryption

To give the data you have transmitted the best possible protection, the website operator uses SSL encryption. Connections encrypted in this way can be recognised by the prefix “https://” in the link in your browser’s address bar.
Unencrypted pages are identified by “http://”.

Thanks to SSL encryption, none of the data that you transmit to this website - e.g. in queries or when logging in - can be read by third parties.

Access data

We, the website operator and provider, collect data on access to the website and save this as “server log files” on the website’s server on the basis of our legitimate interest (see point f of Article 6(1) GDPR). The following data is recorded in this way:
• Website visited
• Date and time of access
• Volume of data transmitted in bytes
• Source/link from which you visited the site
• Browser used
• Operating system used
• IP address used

The server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to enable cases of misuse to be resolved. If data must be collected as evidence, it is exempt from erasure until the matter has been fully settled.

Measuring reach & cookies

Our customers’ privacy is important to us. This is why we do not currently use cookies.

Recording and processing personal data

The website operator only collects, uses and shares your personal data if this is permitted by law or you have given your consent to data collection.
Personal data includes all information that is used to identify you personally and that can be traced back to you - for example, your name, your email address and your telephone number.

You can also visit this website without providing your personal details. However, we save the details of your access to this website (without any personal references) in order to improve our online content. This access data includes the file requested by you and the name of your Internet provider, for example. Anonymising data means that it cannot be traced back to you personally.

Handling contact information

If you contact us, the website operator, via the options provided, your details will be stored so that they can be used to handle and respond to your query. This data will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

Use of social media plugins, e.g. XING and LinkedIn

This website does not currently use any plugins from social media platforms.
However, we reserve the right to integrate these at a later date - in this case, we will of course update our privacy policy.

Users’ rights

As a user, you have the right to request information, free of charge, on which personal data concerning you is being stored. You also have the right to have incorrect data rectified, the processing of your personal data restricted or your personal data erased. If applicable, you can also exercise your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Erasure of data

Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to store data (e.g. a data retention obligation), you have the right to have your data erased. Data being stored by us will be erased, provided it is no longer necessary for its intended purpose and there are no statutory retention periods. If the data cannot be erased because it is necessary for legally permitted purposes, the processing of the data will be restricted. In this case, the data will be made unavailable and will not be processed for other purposes.

Right to object

Users of this website can exercise their right to object and object to the processing of their data at any time.

If you would like the personal data being stored that concerns you personally to be rectified, made unavailable or erased or if you would like access to it, or if you have questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data or would like to withdraw consent that you have previously given, please contact us via the following email address:, or contact our company data protection officer, Udo Henninger, directly.
